Bad Luck Continues at Orange County Speedway
Kannapolis, NC - Bad luck for driver Garrett Smithley has continued. This weekend at Orange County Speedway the 19 year old driver from Peachtree City, GA was involved in a horrific wreck just laps into the main event. While underneath the 48 of Chase Dowling, Garrett was hit from behind, which shot him up the track into the side of the 48 who wheel hopped Garrett and sent both cars hard into the outside wall. The #43 and the #48 of Smithley and Dowling would both be done for the night.
"We had a really strong car and I am extremely proud of everyone on the Mr. E Performance team for all their hard work, I could not do it without them," a somber Smithley said after the race.
